Media Prima Radio Network invests in Prodys codecs

MALAYSIA: Media Prima Radio Network (MPRN), the radio broadcasting division under Media Prima Berhad, has recently purchased a number of Prontonet audio codecs from Prodys, which were distributed by Stagetec Asia.
Having previously invested in the brand by ordering two sets of Prodys Nomada XL (with 3G) and Prontonet audio codecs, the new equipment was purchased in order to facilitate ‘integrated and seamless’ audio transmission over IP from various regional stations to the broadcaster’s main headquarters in Bandar Utama, Selangor.
‘The equipment is very reliable and stable and transmits good quality audio at a low bandwidth,’ said Akhmal Andak, network engineering manager of MPRN. ‘We are happy with the Prodys’ codecs and the support provided by the Stagetec Asia team.’
