Meyer Sound named InfoComm CTS Program Provider

WORLD: US loudspeaker manufacturer Meyer Sound has become an InfoComm Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) Program Provider. Attendees to the company’s two-day seminar ‘Fundamentals of System Design, Implementation and Optimisation’ can now earn six renewal units (RUs) toward the programme’s requirements for maintaining certified status as CTS general, CTS-D (design), or CTS-I (installation).

Meyer Sound is widely recognised for its work in providing audio education, currently comprising almost 20 seminars at introductory, intermediate, and advanced levels. The company has also recently moved further online with the introduction of a series of webinars.

The ‘Fundamentals of System Design, Implementation and Optimisation’ course encompasses a broad range of sound system design and application topics including the theory and practice of line arrays, tools for optimisation, system equalisation and delay, the use of acoustical prediction software, digital loudspeaker management systems, and methods for controlling low frequency directivity.

A/V industry professionals who have completed the requirements for initial CTS certification must earn a total of 30 RUs over a three-year period in order to maintain their status. Programs eligible to grant RUs are approved by the InfoComm Certification Committee.
