Meyer Sound to offer free gain structure webinars in February

WORLD: US-based loudspeaker specialist Meyer Sound will offer members of the industry four opportunities to catch an education webinar at the end of February, each hosted by renowned engineer Buford Jones and focusing on improving gain structure. Named The Mixing Workshop: Session 3, Gain Structure, each webinar will last for an hour.
The webinars continue Meyer Sound’s drive towards education via the web with Mr Jones presiding over a series of webinars intended to help engineers to improve their mixing technique. The industry veteran was announced as Meyer’s live audio and education specialist in late 2011, having previously acted as the manufacturer’s touring liaison for 10 years. He brings considerable experience to his role, having led a 35-year career as a live engineer for acts including Eric Clapton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Stevie Wonder and Pink Floyd. The four webinars will feature Mr Jones exploring his own methods for setting an appropriate gain structure throughout an audio signal path.
Two of the webinars are scheduled to take place on February 21st, firstly at 7am Pacific Standard Time, and then 9am Pacific Standard Time. The third and fourth start on February 22nd at 7am Pacific Standard Time, followed by another at 9am.
