Meyer Sound to stage first Chinese Constellation demonstrations

CHINA: Loudspeaker manufacturer Meyer Sound is to demonstrate its Constellation acoustic control system for the first time at a Chinese trade event at next week’s Palm Expo China exhibition, which is taking place in Beijing Between May 26th and 29th. The company is also promising a major corporate announcement at the exhibition.

The Constellation demonstration will follow the same template used by the company at January’s US NAMM show, with saxophonist Sarah Underwood performing live to help illustrate the system’s ability to change a room’s acoustic properties. Constellation works via a combination of digital processing, arrays of precision microphones and linear loudspeakers, with the D-Mitri digital audio platform at its heart.

The demonstrations follow a period of growth for the US brand within mainland China, including a recent event at the China National Stadium (more typically referred to as the Bird’s Nest), which saw the deployment of the world’s largest Meyer Sound reinforcement system (full details of which will appear in the next issue of Pro Audio Asia).

For full details of the corporate announcement promised by the manufacturer, see next week’s edition of the Pro Audio Asia email newsletter.
