MicW iGoMic wins Digital Camera Grand Prix 2014 award

JAPAN: Chinese microphone manufacturer MicW has been presented with a Digital Camera Grand Prix 2015 Awards Gold Prize in the category of Peripheral Devices for its iGoMic X-Y microphone.
The Digital Camera Grand Prix is a prestigious award in Japan. Winners are chosen by a committee of photographers, critics and distribution channel members who are experts on digital imaging related products, with products recognised for their ‘innovative, newsworthy and outstanding technological approaches’.
The manufacturer’s on-camera microphone features an X-Y stereo-matched pair of mic capsules. It has been specifically designed for GoPro cameras but can also be mounted to DSLR and video cameras. The microphone was awarded first place in its category based on audio performance and usability.
