Ministry of Tourism Malaysia upgrades with TOA

MALAYSIA: TOA Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd (TEM) recently proposed and designed an A/V upgrade for the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia (MTM), installing a TOA TS-900 infrared wireless conference system into the Putrajaya facility.

‘The Ministry of Tourism Malaysia wanted to upgrade their system for their administration, meeting room and training room,’ explained Joe Tan, project manager, TOA Electronics Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

‘TOA Electronics Malaysia offered MTM a sound and communication system comprising a wired conference system, an infrared wireless conference system, a pro sound system, a compact satellite speaker with package amplifier and a portable PA amplifier,’ he said.

The complete TOA system comprises a TOA TS-770 central unit, a TS-900 infrared conference system central unit, an M-9000M2 digital matrix mixer, a DA-Z250D amplifier, a HX-5B compact speaker system, a WS-5300 UHF wireless set, an A-1712 amplifier with BS-301B compact satellite speaker system and a WA-Z100SD portable meeting amplifier.

‘TEM proposed the TS-900 for MTM as it couples an infrared system with clear sound amplification,’ said Mr Tan. ‘The wireless conference system provides flexible adaptation for a diverse style of conferencing. Meanwhile, the TOA TS-770 does away with the need for a conference hall with professionally and permanently installed equipment for small-to-medium-sized meetings. The TOA BS-301 compact satellite speaker system produces effective acoustic sounds inside the training room of the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia. There are a total eight sets of BS-301s combined with TOA A-1712 120W mixer power amplifiers.

‘The client is very happy with the new audio and conference system, and was pleased that TOA could produce a total solution for them,’ he added. ‘They are also impressesd with its user friendly operation at all levels.’
