Mipro establishes Chinese sales and marketing office

CHINA: Taiwanese microphone manufacturer Mipro has established a dedicated sales and marketing office for Greater China, naming industry veteran Donn Ho as the operation’s managing director. The office will oversee implemented sales strategies for mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau.

The appointment of Mr Ho is being viewed as something of a coup for Mipro, as he brings what the manufacturer describes as ‘an enviable pedigree’ to his new role. The MD is fluent English, Chinese Mandarin, Taiwanese, Cantonese and Hakka, and served as vice president of sales for Sennheiser Electronic Asia Pte Ltd for 18 years. Not surprisingly, Mipro is giving its latest recruitment a warm welcome.

‘We have known Donn and admired his business acumen for a long time,’ commented vice president of international sales Eugene Chen. ‘He brings a wealth of experience and technical knowledge in the wireless microphone business, is a well-respected professional and has an outstanding track record in managing sales and distribution organisations. His in-depth market knowledge is a valuable asset for Mipro and an ideal match for our regional strategies.’

Mr Chen added that Mr Ho’s experience would play a key part in developing the profile of the digital and analogue ACT-Series of wireless systems within the region. ‘Under his leadership we are confident we will raise the brand profile even higher with the leading A/V professionals.’

Following the appointment, Mr Ho was equally generous with his praise for Mipro, commenting that it is ‘a great pleasure to join one of the leading RF microphone manufacturers in this region. I look forward to working closely with the entire team in Greater China.’
