TAIWAN: Mipro has won the Economic Contribution Award for small to medium enterprises at this year’s FT-Standard Chartered Taiwan Business Awards. The event, which took place at the beginning of the month was held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Taipei.
‘There are 1.3 million SMEs constituting more than 90 per cent of companies in Taiwan,’ stated Mipro president, Soloman Chang. ‘We are honoured to be chosen as the winner amongst them.’
The Taiwan Business Awards have been designed to highlight achievements by Taiwanese companies and entrepreneurs in innovation, sustainable development, competitiveness and their contribution to the Taiwan economy. The awards are divided into four categories: Economic Contribution, Responsible Business, Entrepreneurial Success and International Visibility. The year’s event marked the second consecutive year that the awards ceremony took place.
Mipro was the only SME enterprise to win the Economic Contribution Award, which recognises companies that are making an outstanding contribution to the country’s economy.
‘This award affirms our economic contributions to our beloved country and is recognised by world leading business news and financial service institutions,’ Mr Chang continued. ‘It is our goal to continue to work harder in developing high quality, high performance wireless microphone products and to provide simple to complex audio solutions for diverse applications faced by our customers.’
