CHINA: One of the latest shows to joins China’s roster of reality television programmes is Road to Stardom, described as an inspirational large-scale competition showcasing the singing and dancing talents of its male competitors. Tasked with providing the sound system for the show, Beijing Pacific Budee is calling on Martin Audio’s MLA system.
Produced by Guangdong Television, the series is recorded live at the 3,000-seat Zhejiang Pinghu Gymnasium, drawing a full-capacity crowd to each recording. Road to Stardom consists of a variety of music styles, requiring a ‘powerful arena audio system’ similarly capable of delivering ‘subtle musical detail’ for the audience at home. The system set up by Budee includes eight MLA cabinets and four MLX subwoofers, split up and groundstacked on either side of the stage.
