Mogami cables extends international distribution

WORLD: Japanese cable manufacturer Mogami has extended its international distribution network to cover the UK and Ireland having appointed HHB, with Mogami president of sales, Lew Hirabayashi, describing the company as ‘delighted’ with the deal. Additionally, the new distributor has pledged to donate 10 per cent of the value of its Mogami sales to the Red Cross Japan Tsunami Appeal between now and September.

Based in London, HHB is one of the European industry’s highest profile suppliers with a strong emphasis on the broadcast market and beyond. The company’s international sales manager, Matthew Fletcher, has been named as Mogami’s product specialist, and he was quick to praise the manufacturer, which is based in Nagano, Japan. ‘From the tiniest lavalier microphone cable to a heavy duty digital snake, every Mogami cable is designed and manufactured to perform at the highest levels,’ Mr Fletcher declared.

Mr Hirabayashi was equally enthusiastic regarding his new partner, describing HHB as ‘a company that shares our commitment to quality, reliability and customer service. HHB has a comprehensive stock of Mogami products, so audio and video professionals in the region now have access to the best cables for the job.’

Regarding the distributor’s commitment to support the Red Cross Japan Tsunami Appeal, managing director Ian Jones explained: ‘Ten per cent of the value of our Mogami sales between now and the IBC Show in September will be donated. Our initial meetings with Mogami took place shortly before this devastating natural disaster and, although Mogami was not directly affected, it seems to us an ideal way to help our many friends and industry colleagues in Japan.’
