Netia Radio-Assist 8 installed in heart of MediaCorp radio

SINGAPORE: Leading Singaporean broadcaster MediaCorp has been supplied with Netia Radio-Assist 8, automating production across its 13 free-to-air radio channels which broadcast in 10 languages. The installation was managed by BCI, Netia’s principal dealer in south east Asia.

The installation is intended to automate MediaCorp’s full radio production chain from ingest to delivery whilst equipping the broadcaster’s newsroom with tools for recording, scheduling and editing, with simultaneous access for up to 50 journalists.

It is integrated via an MOS Protocol to MediaCorp's ENPS newsroom system, making content accessible to all production staff, whilst Radio-Assist modules for browsing, multi-track editing, and audio playback can be opened from within the ENPS interface. Any changes made in the ENPS rundown are automatically duplicated in the Radio-Assist broadcasting tool Air-DDO, whilst the Radio-Assist 8 user interface also supports all languages spoken by MediaCorp's multilingual staff.

‘The ability to integrate so tightly with the ENPS system, together with the big advantage of the multi-language operating environment, means that Radio-Assist 8 delivers real savings in time and costs for MediaCorp,’ enthused Netia’s Mus Rezzoug.
