New Authorised Harman Service Centre opens in Bangalore

INDIA: With the goal of drawing the company ‘closer to the individual’, Harman Professional has opened a new Authorised Harman Service Centre in Bangalore (AHSC).  The new building was opened by the president of Harman Pro, Blake Augsburger, who highlighted the facility as evidence of its strong commitment to service and support.

‘Across the globe, Harman Professional’s mission is not simply to build the most useful, reliable and innovative A/V systems but also to be an organisation that is very easy to work with,’ noted Mr Augsburger. ‘The opening of this new authorised service centre in Bangalore is an extension of our global strategy, is an act of confidence in our systems and a show of commitment to our customers in this region.’

Sinon Services, has been appointed to manage the new 1,400 sq-ft Bangalore facility, which is located at Kammanahalli with easy accessibility to the CBD. The centre is already operational and contains advanced diagnostic and repair tools, a robust inventory of spare parts, and trained staff on hand.

The new location was the not first in Bangalore however, and from now on the original building will operate as one of the manufacturer’s Centres of Excellence (COE). Its role has been enhanced to provide technical service training for the on-ground team, helping them tackle issues such as critical trouble shooting of products, seamless spare part flow, monitoring performance level of the service network and ensuring higher levels of customer satisfaction.

Since the opening of the first AHSC in Mumbai over a year ago, the manufacturer has rapidly expanded its service footprint across the country, and also has plans to open an authorised repair workshop in Pune.

‘Our primary aim is to provide easy access to our walk-in customers, where one can not only purchase spare parts and accessories for their range of Harman Professional products, but can now “pick up and drop off” products while carrying out repair activities,’ said Prashant Govindan, director of India Operations, Harman Professional.
