New Delhi bar install creates landmark project for Tannoy VX

INDIA: Located in the City Square Mall of Rajouri Garden, a new sports bar called Game of Legends (GoL) has opened its doors to the patrons of New Delhi, becoming one of the installations in India to use Tannoy’s VX Series.
Design consultants and A/V contractors Shitij Harnwal and Narinder Pal Singh from Audio Jewellers worked closely with the architect Luvpreet Singh in designing and installing a sound system that would not compromise the aesthetics of the bar. From the outset, the requirements of the integrated system were extensive, although a strict budget offered limitations. Ultimately, Audio Jewellers opted for the new Tannoy VX Series system.
Powered by Crown amplifiers, the Tannoy loudspeaker system comprises two VX12, eight Di5 and six Mercury models, with lower frequencies further supplemented by four VS Series subwoofers, two VS 15BPs and two VS 10BPs. The Di5s provide distributed BGM throughout GoL, whilst blending into the décor owing to discreet installation. Three distinct zones are each equipped with personal digital recorders offering separate audio and video options, for which each zone is served by two Tannoy V1 loudspeakers together with a Behringer Xenyx 502 analogue mixer.
‘Game of Legends will always be a special project for us,’ commented Audio Jewellers’ Narinder Pal Singh. ‘This is the first project under the formation of Audio Jewellers, hence a lot of technical thinking went into making it a success. Using Tannoy gave us the confidence and flexibility we needed.’
The architect for the project, Luvpreet Singh, offered further comment: ‘This project was very special as this part of Delhi had never witnessed something like it in the past. We are very impressed with what we have been able to achieve, in cooperation with Audio Jewellers for the A/V and the overall design of the place.’
