New executive vice president of sales for Harman Professional

WORLD: Harman Professional president, Blake Augsburger has promoted Scott Robbins to the role of executive vice president of sales. Effective immediately, Mr Robbins assumes worldwide responsibility for sales operations including management of Harman Professional’s regional and target market sales programmes, and all technical service and support.

The Harman Professional ‘veteran’ previously worked for Crown Audio when Harman acquired the brand in 2000. Prior to his appointment as vice president of sales he served as senior director of worldwide sales, and before this he held a range of senior sales roles with Harman Professional and Crown. Mr Robbins holds an associates degree in Electronic Engineering and a Bachelors Degree in Organisation Management, and has previously worked with Bose Professional.

‘Scott Robbins has played a pivotal role in building and optimising Harman Professional’s sales structure,’ commented Mr Augsburger. ‘He has also demonstrated a critical appreciation for consistent bottom-line performance and an understanding that for our customers to be successful they need audio technologies that differentiate them from commodity players. These important characteristics qualify him to lead our worldwide sales initiative and I am confident he will deliver for our customers, our partners and other stakeholders.’

‘I am very excited to take on this challenge and expanded responsibility,’ said Mr Robbins. ‘Harman Professional is a unique organisation of great people, world-class brands and category-leading technologies and I consider it an opportunity and an honour to lead the sales efforts for Harman Pro and improve the support for customers across all our brands. Our customers test the thresholds of creative and engineering excellence every day and I am determined to match their creativity and energy with similar commitment.’
