New FOH system for the biggest stage in Taoyuan County

TAIWAN: Super Light Technology has installed MC2 amplifiers powering a McCauley sound reinforcement system into the 1,170 seat Jungli Arts Hall, which reportedly contains the biggest stage in Taiwan’s Taoyuan County. The project was commissioned by Taoyuan City’s Cultural Affairs Bureau alongside a smaller installation within the city’s County Library complex.

As part of a comprehensive upgrade of the Jungli Arts Hall A/V equipment – encompassing audio, lighting, rigging, stage-facilities and video –  regional distributor Super Light Technology installed a front of house line array system comprising five McCauley N90 speakers and one NS1 subwoofer per side. Three MC2 E4-75 four-channel amplifiers drive the system, with signal processing via a McCauley M408 and an Allen & Heath ML4000-48 analogue console at front of house. A single McCauley AC6 for front-fill plus two FBT Verve 12M stage monitors were also supplied, again powered by MC2.

Elsewhere, the 536-seat Arts Hall theatre, located within the County Library complex, now houses a mixture of E45, E25 and T1500 amplifiers to drive a Qube line array as well as front fill. A McCauley M306 provides signal processing within the system, while a Yamaha IM8-32 sits at front of house. Monitoring is again via FBT Verve 12M wedge monitors powered by a T1500 amp. An LA Audio EQ231G/GTX equaliser is also included.

The Jungli Arts Hall was established in 1986 and is used for performances of music, dancing and drama, whilst the Library Arts Hall, established in 1984, is used for performances of music, dance, drama, lectures, meetings, and as a cinema.
