INDIA: Sonodyne Electronics Co PVT Ltd used the recent Palm India show to announce the appointment of Anindya Bhattacharyya as its new head of projects and service. Mr Bhattacharyya previously worked for Bose India’s installation operation before working in the Middle East and Italy for four years on various installation projects including Ferrari World.
‘Having been away from India for almost five years I felt it was now time to return and Sonodyne is keen to invest and take their division to the next level,’ explained Mr Bhattacharyya. ‘The company is concentrating on pro systems and pro systems design. There are a lot of new products including the Australian Monitor range and my job is to set up a team to do everything systematically, to have processes and policies in place so that we can be the best in the industry. I will be travelling all over the country between our four branches and setting up a team that is more technically oriented.
‘There are also plans to set up a training division in the near future, we are planning to certify people; systems integrators, our dealers and distributors,’ he continued. ‘We produce good products but it’s how you implement the products in the projects and how you design the system so the training division will help to minimise that gap,’ stated Mr Bhattacharyya. ‘I am currently preparing the training modules, the division will be based in Kolkata to start with and then we will roll out in the future. Through the training we can build up a healthy culture of integrators who understand the subject of pro audio and enable them to design systems on their own.’
‘We need to get more professionalism in our projects and after sales service and with Anindya’s global experience we should be able to do that,’ commented managing director Anindya Mukherjee. ‘We have lots of integrators across the country who need technical support and I believe with this role we will have a successful project cell in the company.’
