INDIA: A new PA system comprising equipment from Nexo, Camco and Shure has been installed in the Bruhath Bangalore Mahanagara Palike’s council hall in Bangalore. The 140 council members that make up the BBMP collectively requested a new system that would ensure that politicians sitting at the front and back of the hall would receive a consistent level of speech clarity.
Local distribution company Sun Infonet, together with its business associate Reynold’s Inc, designed and installed a complete sound reinforcement solution within a month.
Working under the guidelines that none of the wooden floors or furniture should be dismantled during the installation, the equipment chosen comprised eight PS10-R2 full-range cabinets and a PS10-UTD controller from Nexo powered by four D-Power amplifiers from Camco. Meanwhile, 143 Shure MX418D/C wired gooseneck microphones were selected to ensure effective audio coverage of the historic hall.
The BBMP council is said to be ‘extremely satisfied’ with the results. So much so that a similar PA system has been commissioned for its other council halls in Karanataka. The BBMP is responsible for the town planning of Bangalore.
