New roles for Revolabs Martin Bodley and Jean-Pierre Carney

WORLD: Revolabs has announced that co-founder and CEO Martin Bodley is now the non-executive chairman of the board, and that co-founder Jean-Pierre (JP) Carney will act as the company's chief executive officer.

For his work at Revolabs, Mr Bodley has been acknowledged as helping to create a new standard in wireless audio solutions, and throughout his time there he has built partnerships with suppliers and dealers in over 50 countries.

‘I'm very entrepreneurial and enjoy the thrill of building companies and products from a concept upwards,’ said Mr Bodley. ‘I will certainly miss the day-to-day interaction with the team at Revolabs, but I look forward to the strategic focus that I can bring to the company when freed from operational duties,’ he explained.

Prior to co-founding Revolabs, Mr Carney worked at Analog Devices, Raytheon, and M/A-Com. During his time at the company, he has been responsible for Revolabs' sales, marketing, product definition, and strategic partnership programmes. He holds a bachelor's and master's degree in electrical engineering from Northeastern University and the University of Massachusetts, and acquired an MBA from Babson College.

‘I want to thank Marty for all of his work in building Revolabs from a concept to a multinational, global company,’ said Mr Carney. ‘The outlook for Revolabs over the next few years has never been brighter,’ he added.

‘Significant business wins and upcoming new product releases have positioned Revolabs for continued success in 2012 and beyond,’ Mr Bodley furthered. ‘Having JP in the CEO position gives me confidence that the company is in good hands, as he has been instrumental to Revolabs' success over the years.’
