New Zealand Clean Energy Centre equipped with dB Technologies

NEW ZEALAND: Ray Ward of NZ Sound recently installed a dB Technologies Flexsys speaker system into the New Zealand Clean Energy Centre (NZCEC) in Taupo. Local company Direct Imports NZ Ltd distributed the sound reinforcement system.
The building has become a tourist destination over the years, and in addition to the clean energy centre it serves as an events venue, regularly hosting a variety of shows ranging from performing arts events to modelling shows.
The NZCEC was established to accelerate the adoption of clean energy solutions by industry, communities, businesses and households in New Zealand, and is described as ‘a model of energy efficient and green architecture’. As such, the centre required a sound reinforcement system in-keeping with its image, and selected products from dB Technologies to fill its requirements. NZ Sound installed a number of F8 two-way mid/high range speakers and various F12 two-way enclosures into the centre, which are said to complement the venue’s ‘clean look whilst offering great sound’.
The building also harvests rainwater and light and disposes of its own waste water via drip irrigation to a short rotation energy crop that can be harvested every three years to provide biomass fuel.
