Nexo appoints new CEO

WORLD: French loudspeaker manufacturer Nexo has announced the appointment of Jean Mullor as CEO. Mr Mullor has moved over from Yamaha Music Europe, reportedly bringing with him ‘a wealth of management experience’ gained throughout his diverse career. Current CEO, Yoshi Tsugawa, is returning to Yamaha Corporation in Japan to become general manager for band and orchestra products in the MI and Audio Sales and Marketing Group.

Mr Mullor described his new appointment as ‘a remarkable opportunity to join a company that has a 30-year record of technical achievement and an industry-leading reputation. With its flagship technology making inroads at the very top of the international market, and a slate of new products scheduled for release, these are exciting times for Nexo, and I’m looking forward to being part of its talented team.’

Trained as a lawyer, his career began with petrochemical giant Mobil, before his passion for music steered him towards Yamaha. Most recently, he was responsible for the domestic distribution of musical instruments and commercial audio products as general manager of Yamaha’s French subsidiary. Throughout this time he has also acquired HR, logistics, finance, and sales and marketing experience.
