Nexo wins out at Cage Fighting Championship

AUSTRALIA: Nexo loudspeakers, subwoofers and amplifiers were recently used to provide the sound reinforcement at Cage Fighting Championship (CFC) 16, which was staged at Sydney’s Luna Park Big Top. Distributed by Group Technologies, the equipment was selected by event organiser Showtime Productions to satisfy a crowd of approximately 2,500 fans.
Showtime Productions managing director Rob Runko selected a system comprising eight PS15 loudspeakers plus four RS18 subwoofers for low end, all of which were driven by Nexo NX amplifiers. The system was used for entrance and exit music at the event, which saw Australian middleweight champion Hector Lombard take on Canadian Joe Doerksen.
Mr Runko reports that ‘all were impressed’ with the performance of the Nexo system, despite some speaker-placement restrictions. ‘No speakers were to be on the floor so we flew the PS15s and rigged the RS15 subs under the cage,’ he explained.
Mr Runko equally praised the efforts of the Showtime Productions crew, with particular mention to Josh Moffit, Nathan Barnier, and Patrick Williams.
