Norwest Productions becomes largest L-Acoustics Kudo provider

AUSTRALIA: Following a recent purchase of 74 L-Acoustics Kudo cabinets and 16 LA-Rak amplified controllers, Norwest Productions reportedly now owns the largest Kudo stock in the world. Prior to the purchase, the company already owned 118 Kudo boxes.

‘Norwest was an early adopter of L-Acoustics’ Kudo, purchasing the initial order in 2006 for the Melbourne Commonwealth Games, Asian Games and many other events since,’ said Chris Kennedy, Norwest Productions’ group sales director. ‘Our local demand for Kudo is such that we can no longer afford to send large quantities away for several months for a big event such as the Arab Games – so more were needed,’ he explained.

The equipment was delivered directly to Doha for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Pan Arabic Games, whose sound designer, Auditoria’s Scott Willsallen, extensively specifies Kudo for his projects.

Norwest Productions has used Kudo line arrays for many major sporting events, including the opening and closing ceremonies for the Delhi and Melbourne Commonwealth Games, the Doha Asian Games, the Singapore Youth Olympics, and for the Singapore National Day events and Sydney World Youth Day.
