Odyssey Concepts invests in Turbosound

SINGAPORE: Odyssey Concepts Pte Ltd has invested in a Turbosound Milan sound reinforcement system to serve its growing market.
Having been founded in 2009, Odyssey Concepts Pte Ltd is a relatively new arrival on the Singaporean block of production companies. The 12-man team at Odyssey caters for events management services, including carpentry.
‘Not long after we formed the company, we were asked to supply sound systems for events, so we had to rent them in,’ explained senior manager Jai Dhaliwal. ‘We did the maths and realised that we could buy our own system and set it up ourselves.’
The company turned to Consolidated Audio Networks to provide a Turbosound Milan system comprising an inventory of M15 cabinets. So far it has catered to all sizes of events from banquets at the Swissotel The Stamford to stadium Events in Jurong East.
‘In terms of price performance and being a lightweight active system they are excellent,’ added Mr Dhaliwal. ‘They’re very easy to set up as a plug and play system. As soon as I listened carefully to them during the demonstration, I liked their punch and their clarity.’
He continued: ‘We’re not primarily an audio company but Consolidated Audio Networks have been great to us and given us so much troubleshooting advice and support when we needed it, such as speaker placement. Not only that, but they don’t take up much storage space for the rare times we have them back in our facility. As a one-stop events hub we are now regarded as an events company that is able to encompass total turnkey solutions thanks to the Turbosound speaker system we invested in.’
