Orange Events Malaysia joins K1 rental network

MALAYSIA: Kuala Lumpur-based rental company Orange Events has become the latest addition to the K1 rental network, having recently added the flagship L-Acoustics system to its extensive inventory of the French manufacturer’s speakers.

Orange Events originally began acquiring L-Acoustics speakers in 2006 with an original purchase of 12 Kudo cabinets. Since then the company has gone on to offer more than 200 enclosures from the manufacturer ranging from 5XT to the new K1 rig.

‘We are very humbled to be able to own a K1 system – the flagship product of L-Acoustics,’ commented managing director Blurr Wong. ‘It is the most rider friendly system and the first choice of every engineer. We are looking forward to many more opportunities in the future.’

David Cooper, Asian sales manager for L-Acoustics, added: ‘With an increasing K1 rider demand in the region, expanding the K1 rental network in South East Asia was one of L-Acoustics’ goals this year.   Orange Events has been key for L-Acoustics in Malaysia over the last decade with their total focus on the brand, the technical expertise of their staff and an uncompromising goal to improve audio quality. I am therefore delighted that they have now become the latest member of a very select global group. The future is bright for K1 in Malaysia and we wish Blurr and his team great success in their new K1 ventures.’

Orange Events has so far deployed its K1 system for the 23rd Pentecostal World Conference, an Eric Moo concert and a tour by K-Pop boy band Infinite. Mr Wong has also posted images from each of these events on the Pro Audio Social Stream (search @Blurr Wong).
