Parra Firehouse refurbished with JBL Crown and BSS

AUSTRALIA: Equipment from Harman brands JBL, Crown and BSS have been installed into the Parramatta Leagues Club’s Parra Firehouse bar and restaurant, located in Sydney. Saltec Pty Ltd supplied and installed the audio system, which was distributed by Jands.

The Italian restaurant is divided into five different areas, and required a sound system that would provide consistent coverage throughout each of its zones. The client also specified that the system needed to offer separate control options for the venue’s individual sections.

A number of JBL Control25AV shielded indoor/outdoor monitor speakers were positioned throughout the venue to ensure that the sound quality remained ‘seamless’ when walking between the restaurant’s zones. A number of the monitors are also utilised for the venue’s outdoor seating areas.

JBL ASB6112 12-inch compact subwoofers were selected to reinforce the low frequencies throughout the restaurant and bar areas, and a number of XLS-2000, XTI-2000 and XTI-4000 amplifiers from Crown power the entire system.

A Blu-100 audio DSP system from BSS is used to control the entire sound system, and includes 12 inputs, eight outputs and provides pre-programmed EQ, limiting and remote functionality options. A simple source selection and volume system is incorporated into the DSP, which the staff use to access the system’s basic controls.

Paul Kelly Design was employed to design the restaurant’s interior.
