AUSTRALIA: As a result of ‘unprecedented’ growth throughout 2014, Professional Audio & Television (PAT) has appointed Adam Langham to lead its technical engineering department in Sydney. The company was seeking a person with the technical expertise to manage large projects, while also overlooking the design and supply of new technical solutions. Mr Langham joins PAT having gained experience working at production facilities such as Silk Studios, as well as solution providers including Videocraft and Channel 7.
‘During a time when networks are looking at IP broadcast infrastructures, new transmission protocols, delivery methods and simplifying workflows through the implementation of control systems like VSM, the engineering advice and guidance we provide to our customers is more important than ever,’ said Meredith Buckton, operations manager at PAT. ‘Our manufacturers are really pushing the envelope when it comes to setting new standards and being on the cutting edge of technology, while shaping the future of broadcast. We believe it is imperative that we are able to provide the best possible advice to our customers and educate them about the possibilities that our product range offers.’
‘Having joined the PAT team, I am excited to be part of one of Australia’s leading broadcast solutions providers. The portfolio of brands PAT represents in Australia makes for interesting and challenging projects, that’s for sure,’ added Mr Langham. ‘I like that, as a broadcast solution provider, PAT becomes part of the customer’s technical decision-making process. That means system design, technical recommendations, and of course successful implementation, needs to be closely managed in order to deliver world class installations to our customers.’
