AUSTRALIA: Professional Audio Technology (PAT), the Sydney-based distributorship formed recently by Patrick Salloch and Tony Fitzsimmons, has been confirmed as the exclusive distributor of Optocore within Australia in a deal described by Mr Salloch as creating synergy between the company’s existing brands.
The announcement follows a previous indication that PAT would be a dealer for the networking specialist, having already established itself as the exclusive supplier for brands including Danish Interpretation Systems, German loudspeaker brand KME, Klotz ais, and monitor manufacturer Focal. In reaction to the exclusive agreement, Tine Helme, Optocore sales and marketing director, commented that she ‘feels we have found the perfect partner in Australia. PAT will concentrate its activities on Optocore’s core markets, namely broadcast, permanent and live sound. We look forward to an extensive and successful period in this region together with Patrick and his team.’
Mr Salloch described Optocore as having been ‘very well received in Australia so far, now it is our job to educate the market further about Optocore, and the solutions it can provide.’ Regarding its inclusion in PAT’s growing roster of brands, he added: ‘The Optocore products bridge the gap between various high end manufacturers when it comes to having a rock solid and reliable network for audio, video and data. Australia has always been a trailblazer when it comes to adopting new technologies and ‘pushing the envelope’ that bit further than the rest of the world, and I am certain we will continue to run into open doors with broadcasters and high end production companies with Optocore.’
