Patrician Brothers school receives HK Audio overhaul

AUSTRALIA: The gymnasium at the Patrician Brothers’ secondary school in Blacktown recently benefited from a HK Audio PA system install, courtesy of Kirby Productions and CMI Music & Audio.

The system comprises eight HK Audio Cad-208 mid/high elements suspended by Cadis wall brackets, two Cad 115 subwoofers, two Premium Pro 12 cabinets for delay fill, various MC-2 Ti Series amplifiers, and a DSM-2060 processing system. As a direct result of the installation, the space is now utilised for theatre and musical performances as well as assemblies and mass gatherings.

‘The existing system was not right for the room, and actually made the difficult acoustics even worse,’ said Blake Kirby of Kirby Productions. ‘Cadis allowed us to deliver a system on a tight budget which not only covered the entire hall with ample SPL and bass response for music or theatre, but avoided stimulating the hall’s reverberant field. Our customer is extremely pleased with the intelligibility and fidelity of the system.’
