Pe Plus expands dampb offering to meet increased demand

INDONESIA: Jakarta based production company Pe’ Plus has increased its inventory with new d&b audiotechnik enclosures alongside Avid and Yamaha digital consoles. The purchases follow an increased demand for the company’s services in and around the Indonesian capital city.
The company’s d&b audiotechnik loudspeaker system has now been enhanced with the purchase of six Q1 cabinets and six B2 infrared subwoofers together with a further three D12 amplifiers, whilst its digital console options have been enhanced with the addition of two Avid SC48 desks and a Yamaha M7CL model. Pe’ Plus managing director Rizky Pohan described the purchases as comprising ‘rider friendly brands that are easy to set up and of course produce superb audio’.
Armed with 18 Q1 loudspeaker systems together with 12 Q and six B2 subwoofers plus 12 D12 amplifiers, Pe’ Plus can now host up to three events using d&b audiotechnik systems at any given time. ‘The demand has definitely risen in d&b since we took on the brand over two years ago,’ explained Mr Pohan. ‘It was a good investment for us and the B2 infra’s will further extend the low frequencies of the system and bring us another level of bass which can be run in cardioid mode.’
Pe’Plus caters for corporate events, product launches, weddings and conferences on a regular basis, while referrals ensure that the business continues to grow. The company also regularly serves international touring artists, including a recent performance by Norman Cook (better known as Fat Boy Slim).
‘Our clients like the powerful, yet even coverage from what is essentially a simple set up using R1 control,’ Mr Pohan continued. ‘You don’t have to work a lot with the system as long as you handle the room’s acoustics, but the presets on the speakers are usually sufficient. We have always enjoyed great service and support from d&b in Singapore and since A&T were appointed as d&b’s distributor in Indonesia this year that service has just got better.
‘With five years’ warranty, you have peace of mind and the wear and tear damage suffered to these speakers is significantly less than others. In fact, we have only ever broken one and that was instantly replaced. Our business has changed for the better since we invested in d&b and we now market ourselves differently, so this investment has come at the right time. Our sphere of influence has expanded and we even supply d&b systems to Japanese clients in Medan.’
