Penn Elcom opens sales and distribution centre in Malaysia

MALAYSIA: In a move to improve local sales support for its range of flightcases and speaker cabinet solutions, Penn Elcom has opened a dedicated sales and distribution centre in Kuala Lumpur. The office will be led by Jane Li, previously operations manager for the company’s logistics and assurance centre in Xaimen, China.
Described by the manufacturer as ‘an integral element of Penn’s planned medium-term global expansion strategy’ as well as ‘strong trading in Asia over the last 12 months’, the office will initially be staffed by three full-time employees led by Ms Li.
According to Penn Elcom CEO Phil Stratford, the facility will mean direct shipments and improved efficiencies not only for Kuala Lumpur but also Singapore and Thailand. ‘It effectively streamlines our entire operation servicing this part of Asia and the surrounding areas,’ he explained.
Meanwhile the company has also recently expanded its 19-inch rack production capacity in China.
