Peter Claussen named president of Sennheiser Installed Sound Business Division

WORLD: Sennheiser has announced that Peter Claussen will become the president of its Installed Sound Business Division as of August 1st, having previously been deputy chairman of the management board for IT company Höft & Wessel AG.

The 47 year old president will take over a division that was only recently introduced by Sennheiser as part of a new corporate structure. Until now the division has been provisionally led by Dr Heinrich Esser. As divisional President, Mr Claussen will become a member of Sennheiser's Executive Management Board, while his responsibilities will encompass installed sound technology, specifically business operations and strategic development.

Following the announcement, Mr Claussen commented that he is ‘really looking forward to this new challenge, as the installed sound area is increasingly becoming a systems business. I can therefore apply my experience from the IT sector to firmly establish Sennheiser's position in meeting the market requirements in the long term.’

Prior to his tenure at Höft & Wessel AG, Mr Claussen worked for seven years in various posts at Hewlett-Packard in Germany and the USA.
