Pexip’s Infinity powers remote care for Telstra Health

AUSTRALIA: Pexip has announced that its Infinity videoconferencing platform is being used to power the recently launched Telstra Health MyCareManager service. MyCareManager aims to deliver care to clients at a distance through the use of videoconferencing and online monitoring tools.

‘Given the increase in demand for aged care and disability services as well as the workforce shortages in the sector, service providers are forced to look at more efficient models of service delivery,’ stated MyCareManager general manager, Thilan Perera. ‘To address this problem and to bridge the communication gap between service providers, clients and their family members, we developed the MyCareManager solution. MyCareManager keeps clients and care providers connected with each other throughout the entire recovery process via easy-to-use online tools.’

‘When we evaluated the various videoconferencing platforms available, we considered several critical requirements,’ added Mr Perera. ‘First, we needed a guarantee that all data transfers would remain within Australia. Also, the solution had to be compatible with WebRTC and integrate easily within our existing infrastructure. It had to be easy to install, simple to use, and cost-effective to deploy and maintain. Finally, it had to be interoperable with other UC technologies to allow our customers to leverage their existing investments. After a thorough review process, it was clear that the Pexip Infinity platform delivered on all of these requirements and more.’
