NEW CALEDONIA: Point HiFi Sono N°1 recently equipped the Consular Room located within the Chambers of Trades of Industries building in Nouméa city, New Caledonia with a plethora of TOA equipment.
The room has a capacity for 30 seated around a main table, with room for a further 20 guests, and the equipment was installed for conferences and meetings. In a project that was completed in two days, Point HiFi Sono N°1 installed a TOA A-2240 H mixer power amplifier into the premises, along with eight PC-2852 ceiling speakers, one TS-800 central unit, one TS-801 chairman unit, and a total of 26 TS-802 delegate units. Additional equipment from the brand comprises 27 TS- 904 gooseneck conference mics, six TS-905 infrared transmitter/receivers, two YW-1024 Y antenna distributers, three BC-900 battery chargers and 27 lithium battery units. Additionally, a Tascam SS-R200 data recorder was also installed for the conference room.
‘We wished to install an audio system with a better phonic distribution,’ said Mr Bénéjean of the Chambers of Trades of Industries, who was in charge of the project. ‘The sound is now more homogeneous has a constant volume wherever you are in the room. The second important aspect was to install a solution that can allow for future expansion. Finally, the system had to incorporate the latest technology, and had to be practical and easy to use,’ he added.
‘The new installation has made it possible to make a true qualitative jump in terms of audio quality which has been noticed by a good number of lecturers,’ he enthused. ‘The sound is much clearer and has a homogeneous volume in all places in the room, and the quality of the products will ensure it will last longer.’
Mr Bénéjean added that ‘many participants have asked us the characteristics of the installation and for the name of the company that completed the installation to consider completing a similar installation elsewhere.’
In related news, Daniel Humbert, executive manager of Point HiFi Sono N°1 has announced plans to sell his installation company by the end of this year, at which point he will take his retirement. Mr Humbert is targeting Asian investors with this announcement, and insists that there is ‘a great demand’ for the services that this company provides within the archipelago.
Point HiFi Sono N°1 also employs a team of engineers to repair any faulty equipment that it has installed or sold, and Mr Humbert states that at present, ‘there is no other company that is of the same standard as Point HiFi Sono N°1, and none that offer the same level of after sales services.’ This after service repair company operates under the name VideoTechnic and is run by electronics engineer and friend of Mr Humbert, Riccardo Baroni.
‘The business has built up a good reputation due to the professional service we give, and we do everything with the upmost respect for the customer, as it is the customer who has put his confidence in you,’ said Mr Humbert. ‘The buyer will be investing in the reputation my company has built, and I aim to attract an investor that can provide the same high quality installations and materials that Point HiFi Sono N°1 has become renowned for,’ he asserted.
‘I am very happy to have completed so many successful installations over the years, and after the sale of the business I can retire knowing that I have pleased all of my customers,’ he concluded.
