WORLD: PreSonus has opened a new headquarters in Highland Road, Baton Rouge, in order to give the company additional room for expansion. The manufacturer invited its employees, distributors and dealers from over the world to attend the opening ceremony, which featured speeches from Louisiana Governor Boddy Jindal, alongside several senior company executives.
‘This new facility enables us to continue to grow PreSonus and at the same time improve the lives of our staff,’ said Jim Mack, CEO. 'Its architectural design enables us to work better as a team, be more productive and better create, market, and sell our products.’
‘We now have the facilities to research, innovate, and develop the next generation of music and audio products,’ added Jim Oden, co-founder and chief strategy officer.
Among the building’s features is a specialised recording studio and R&D space custom-designed for PreSonus' engineering and testing teams by the Walters-Storyk Design Group. The state-of-the-art studio features a control room, a 46 sq-m live sound room, two isolation rooms, a video-production suite, and five test labs.
The grand opening celebration used almost every inch of the 4,090 sq-m building, with live bands entertaining in the parking lot, the foyer, and the live-sound room, as well as jamming in the studio.
