Prysm installs BTV videowall

CHINA: Videowall manufacturer Prysm Inc. has installed a Laser Phosphor Display (LPD) videowall at Beijing Television Network (BTV). Prysm engineers worked with local integrator Century Sage Scientific and LPD distributor China Daheng to implement the broadcast solution.

The Prysm videowall measures 12.8m by 2.25m, with a 4-degrees curve, making it reportedly one of the largest and most immersive displays in modern day broadcast television. It serves as the focal point of a state-of-the-art multimedia studio for BTV’s new Beijing Radio and Television Network (BRTN), which will simulcast live shows via both television and the internet.

‘This installation further demonstrates that LPD technology is the ideal videowall solution for broadcasters around the globe,’ said Sidney Rittenberg, Jr., Prysm’s VP and general manager for Greater China. ‘No other display technology offers the compelling advantages of LPD videowalls. The industry is constantly searching for new ways to engage and captivate audiences, and without question, groundbreaking LPD technology delivers incredibly immersive viewing experiences and the highest level of engagement attainable.’
