QSC wins Wanda Cinema theatre contract

CHINA: QSC was awarded the contract to install the complete audio system for five cinema theatres owned by Chinese movie theatre chain Wanda Cinema. The chain currently owns approximately 70 cinemas in China, boasting more than 600 screens.
The movie theatres have been equipped with QSC DCS digital cinema series speakers powered by DCA digital channel cinema amplifiers. These were selected for their ability to adapt to the various different sizes of the theatres in question. A DCP 300 digital cinema processor is used in conjunction with the DCA and DCS models to optimise performance levels, and is described as the ‘perfect’ system for the theatre chain’s audio requirements.
‘By partnering QSC with Wanda Cinema, this has set a benchmark for audio quality in movie theatres across China,’ stated Song Hua, Chinese marketing director for QSC’s Chinese distributor, PCI-China.
Wanda Cinema plans to expand to 120 movie theatres with 1,100 screens by the end of 2012.
