Randy Klein named Crestron CEO

WORLD: Crestron Electronics has named Randy Klein as the company’s new president and chief executive officer. Founder George Feldstein officially appointed Mr Klein, stating that the transition will help drive growth to assure the company’s next 40 years of success.

Mr Klein has been working in the A/V and technology industry throughout his professional career, having been a member of the Crestron family for over 25 years. ‘Crestron is my life and my passion,’ said Mr Klein. ‘Moving forward, I see nothing but opportunity for Crestron and I look forward to continued growth and success.’

In addition the Mr Klein’s appointment, Dan Feldstein has been named vice chairman and COO, and Fred Bargetzi has been promoted to the newly-created chief technology officer position.

As son of the founder, Mr Feldstein Jr also has a long background with the company, and originally started working in the R&D department over 20 years ago. Moving forward, he and Mr Klein will work side-by-side.

‘Since the day Crestron was founded, we have never wavered from my father’s vision,’ Mr Feldstein said. ‘Randy has always shared that vision and over the years has truly become a member of the family. I can't think of anyone I'd rather work with as we drive Crestron towards the future.’

Mr Bagetzi, whose previous title was vice president of technology, has also been a long-standing member of the Crestron family. Since joining 25 years ago, the manufacturer describes him as being instrumental in growing and shaping the company to its current level. As VP of technology he was responsible for leading technology strategy in key areas including the enterprise class .NET control platform, UI and mobile applications, and the DigitalMedia product line.

‘For 25 years I have worked side by side with Fred,’ Mr Klein explained. ‘Over that time he has been responsible for helping shape much of the technology and success of the company. I look forward to a future filled with more of the same, as we lead Crestron toward even greater success.’
