Revolabs announces key executive changes

WORLD: US-based wireless conferencing specialist Revolabs has announced the appointment of Marc Cremer as its new chief operating officer whilst Tim Root has become chief technology officer and executive vice president of new business development.

Both Mr Cremer and Mr Root are newcomers to Revolabs, and their dual appointments have been described by the manufacturer’s CEO, JP Carney, as ‘instrumental’ to the company’s ongoing growth.

In his new role, Mr Cremer, a 23-year veteran of the telecommunications and mobile broadband industries, will assume responsibility for worldwide operations including sales, marketing, technical services and product management. He most recently worked for Taqua, where he served as executive vice president of operations and general manager of wireless. His previous roles include vice president of EMEA and channel sales at Airvana, vice president of sales at PCTEL, and director of global sales for Motorola Semiconductors Products Sector.

Mr Root will manage the company’s new business development efforts including planning for future products. He is described as having held executive-level positions for the last 13 years in both public and venture-backed companies including founding VGo Communications (formerly North End Technologies), serving as the CEO of Chester Technologies, the CTO and vice president of product management for OzVision, and CTO and vice president of business development for Polycom’s Video Division.

‘It is an honor to welcome Tim and Marc to Revolabs,’ added Mr Carney. ‘Both have a wealth of experience with communications technologies and exceptional track records of success in senior-level positions.’
