Rock A Fella equipped with Electro-Voice

INDIA: Corp Off & Experience Centre recently installed an Electro-Voice sound system in to a new rock café and bar named Rock A Fella. Located in the Defence Colony in New Delhi, the client required a system that it deemed ‘good enough to showcase our music’ on all three levels of the venue.

The venue’s ground floor is home to a restaurant, which required low volume sound to enhance the dining experience. Meanwhile, a lounge area is located upstairs, where a louder level of music was needed. The final level is the DJ floor, which required the loudest sound level. ‘We wanted to allow customers to feel the transition in music and sound as they proceeded into each level,’ said a Rock A Fella spokesperson.

Although the end-user and consultant were initially sceptical about using the brand, after watching a demo of the Evid range of wall mount and ceiling speakers, this is reported to have ‘instantly won them over’. The client also opted for Electro-Voice due to it being ‘cost effective for the end-user’ and the fact that the cabinets matched the décor.

Corp Off & Experience Centre installed a combination of C4.2 and C10.1 speakers with PA series amplifiers into the ground floor for background music and sound. Meanwhile, the lounge floor was installed with Evid 4.2T and C10.1 speakers with PA series amplifiers. Lastly, the DJ floor now features ELX115 and ELX118 speakers with Q series amplifiers for the dance floor.

‘We are very satisfied with the performance of the speakers,’ said Ashish Sharma, managing director of Rock A Fella. ‘Even the design fits our café.’
