ROL Studios chooses Mackie

INDIA: Chennai-based ROL Studios has recently purchased a pair of Mackie MR5 mk3 active studio monitors for its main control room. Supplied though Mackie's Indian distributor, Sonotone Electronics, the monitors were reportedly selected based on price and sound quality following comparisons with other brands.
‘With the wide range of work that we’ve been fortunate to come across over the past two years, including a range of corporate ads and the various production related work of our own in-house band called ROL, we realised that it was imperative to acquire a pair of world class professional studio monitors that would not just be efficiently priced but would also deliver great quality sound and performance,’ offered Ashley Micheal, owner and chief engineer at ROL Studios. ‘After checking out multiple options available in the market, I came across the Mackie MR5 mk3 and I absolutely fell in love the moment I heard it. The monitors delivered excellent quality sonic reproduction with the kind of flat response and crystal clear output that we were looking for and all of this was available in an “active” package, which meant less hassle with wiring and setup. So there was no doubt in my mind that we were choosing the Mackie MR5 mk3.
‘The Mackie MR5 mk3’s are absolutely wonderful. They work beautifully well in the mix and engineers love the response and tonality,’ added Mr Micheal. ‘The Mackie MR5 mk3 is a true value for money package, and I can proudly say that it has had an amazingly positive impact on our work.’
