Roland V-Mixing training arrives in India

INDIA: The first Indian training events for Roland’s V-Mixing system took place between March 7th and 9th, with three dates in Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Delhi respectively. The sessions reportedly drew capacity crowds.

All three of the dates were organised by Rivera Digitec India Pvt Ltd, the Indian distributor of Roland Professional Audio and Video. More than 200 attendees comprising sound operators, consultants, system designers, technical engineers and development managers were reportedly present for the seminars. Among the topics covered were the principles behind the REAC (Roland Ethernet Audio Communication) protocol, which is intended to enable users to design and implement a wide variety of audio mixing systems. Members of Rivera staff also demonstrated live mixing techniques while advanced hands-on training was offered the M-400 and M-300 V-Mixer, and the M-48 personal mixer.

Visitors to the events reportedly described it as ‘a great opportunity’, and ‘showing us various options for the development and expansion of our current business’. The next V-Mixing training session is now being planned by Rivera Digitec India.
