Roxanne Parlour stays with Nexo

AUSTRALIA: The Melbourne-based Roxanne Parlour nightclub has benefitted from a recent Nexo sound reinforcement system upgrade. Having used the manufacturer’s speakers in the club since it opened, the Roxanne Parlour team stated that when the decision came to upgrade ‘it was always going to be Nexo’.
The crew at the nightclub specified that they required a ‘clean, clear audio’ focused to specific areas of the venue, combined with ‘excellent low frequency response.’ This was requested to cater for the wide array of performances and musical styles that Roxanne Parlour hosts. The venue has two rooms plus a VIP section and a small outdoor courtyard area.
Supplied and serviced by audiovisual equipment services company RTR Productions, six Nexo Geo S1210 loudspeakers and four RS15 subwoofers were installed into the club’s main room, replacing the previous Alpha-E system. The club was also equipped with a NX 242ES4 digital processor, whilst two Camco Vortex 6 amplifiers were selected to power the system.
The nightclub team reports that the Nexo system overcame the venue’s sometimes problematic low ceilings to provide ‘the perfect system’.
‘The sonic purity of the Vortex amps and the Geo S12 is just amazing. It's also very noticeable in the low end with the RS15 subs,’ enthused John Clayton, Roxanne Parlour's in-house engineer.
The upgrade to the Geo S12 is said to ‘fit the criteria perfectly’, and the team are described to be ‘extremely happy’ with the new system.
