Sanecore outfits Sinopec function hall

CHINA: Sanecore Group, Allen & Heath’s Chinese distributor, has installed a new audio system for China Petrochemical Corporation, Sinopec. The installation comprises a new EAW line array and A&H mixing desk, as well as new processors, microphones, and playback devices.

The corporation's 400m long multi-function hall serves a variety of purposes including company meetings, training sessions, performances and video presentations. Sanecore opted for an EAW JFL210 linear array speaker system complemented by the GLD mixing system situated at FOH – a GLD-80 digital mixer, with accompanying AR2412 and AR84 remote I/O expander audio racks. Providing input feeds for the system are six sets of wireless microphones, eight instrument microphones, eight gooseneck conference microphones and a Blu-ray player. The AR2412 rack connects to an EAW UX8800 loudspeaker processor, which distributes the signal to the amplifier after processing.

‘The GLD-80 is a great mixer to have installed,’ explained Yuan Yuan, site manager at Sinopec. ‘I can use Scenes to recall different functions, which is very convenient for quick switching between them, and means it only takes minutes to prepare for a meeting or a performance. I always plug a USB key in to the GLD-80 to play or record music, and I can even record while playing music, which is great.’
