SC Alliance appointed as TiMax distributor for Out Board

JAPAN: S.C. Alliance has been named as the new Japanese distributor for Out Board’s TiMax2 SoundHub audio showcontrol matrix and TiMax Tracker system.
The relationship has emerged in full-force, as SCA immediately hosted a TiMax workshop in Tokyo where Out Board director, Robin Whittaker, presented and demonstrated the principles of the system’s delay-based Source-Oriented Reinforcement (SOR).
Delegates reportedly learnt how variable audio localisation could be applied to wireless vocal mics using the manufacturer’s SoundHub dynamic delay matrix, and how this could be automated via continuous control by TiMax’s Tracker performer tracking system.
The SoundHub’s audio effects and playback server capabilities were also demonstrated using multiple atmos and spot effects played off the unit's internal hard drive, with looping, editing, volume profiling, delay panning and synchronised showcontrol events all programmed in the system’s TimeLine and PanSpace environments.
‘We recently refocused our attention on establishing serious TiMax representation and support in Japan having seen growing healthy economic indicators for the territory,’ remarked Out Board director, Dave Haydon. ‘I am delighted that a company with the strong reputation and technical depth of S.C. Alliance has decided to work with us, and there have already been very positive reactions from leading specifiers and end-users in the Japanese marketplace.’
