Second patent awarded for myMix

WORLD: The myMix personal monitoring system has been awarded its second patent by the US Patent Office, this time in relation to its decentralised functionality and recording capability. Mathias von Heydekampf, owner of manufacturer Movek LLC, was awarded the patent on February 26th.

According to Movek, the patent recognises myMix’s standalone functionality, requiring neither a main hub nor central unit to work. Each individual mixer is equally as capable on its own as on a network with multiple units. Also recognised is the system’s instant recording feature which allows the capture of performances and rehearsals in multi-track wav files.

Prior to this, Mr von Heydekampf successfully patented the myMix GUI interface that allows users to name their channels however they choose.

‘The patent has been long overdue but the wait was worth it,’ commented Mr von Heydekampf. ‘It is another confirmation that there simply is nothing out there that can do what myMix does, which our customers confirm over and over again. Now, so does the patent. We are very excited about this.’

The myMix system was initially launched at the 2010 Namm show and has since gone on to establish itself as a key brand within the growing personal monitoring market.
