Senior promotions mark leadership changes for QSC

WORLD: QSC Audio has announced three key promotions within its senior management, with David Fuller, Gina Bergmann and Ray van Straten all becoming senior directors of their respective departments. Following the announcement, president and CEO Joe Pham described himself as ‘very excited about these management changes and the opportunities they represent for our company’s future’.

In light of the promotions, David Fuller will lead both the manufacturer’s technical marketing and international sales teams. Mr Fuller arrived at QSC three years ago, initially managing the Asia Pacific region and quickly becoming a popular figure among the company’s distributors and customers. He later relocated to the company’s US headquarters to lead the technical marketing team.

Regarding his promotion to senior director, he commented: ‘Becoming a global organisation is a critical component of QSC’s mission statement, and I’m very excited at the prospect of playing a part in that. Furthermore, the international sales team at QSC has never been stronger, and it is my privilege to lead such a talented group of industry professionals.’

Meanwhile, Ray van Straten takes on the role of senior director for marketing communications and training and education, having spent a decade with the manufacturer serving in roles such as retail market manager, director of entertainer solutions and most recently leading the marketing communications team. In his new position he will take over all training and education responsibilities as well as overseeing worldwide artist relations and public relations.

‘Being asked to serve the needs of our growing company in this way is both an honour and a privilege,’ commented Mr van Straten. ‘The caliber of talent at QSC is second to none in the industry and our brand’s success is a reflection of that. I truly look forward to what lies ahead.’

Finally, Gina Bergmann – a 12 year QSC veteran – becomes senior director for sales operations and US Sales, maintaining responsibility for channel management strategy. She commented: ‘I could not be more excited about the opportunity to work alongside such an incredible group of people in shaping the direction of the sales and marketing teams of the future, and propelling our next phase of growth’.

‘David, Gina and Ray each have proven track records of success, building teams from the ground up and being advocates for approaching our business differently,’ continued Mr Pham. ‘In addition, they all have a strong background in sales which gives them a unique perspective on how they approach the non-sales aspect of their roles.’
