Sennheiser joins Latin American Food Festival in Shanghai

CHINA: Sennheiser was recently tasked with miking and providing the audio support for the Shanghai Latin American Food Festival, which was organised by Elefante Restaurant in cooperation with nine Latin American consulates. Located on Shanghai’s Huai Hai Road, the event attracted over 500 attendees.

Set to a theme of travel, ‘Elefante Airlines’ provided cuisine from Argentina, Brazil, Columbia, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. Sennheiser took over the restaurant to set up the stage for the day’s musical endeavours. A DJ booth was set up for DJ Amar, while the outdoor stage saw performances from Kalibre Beat and Huayra. Sennheiser provided all the professional audio equipment as well as an audio team that remained onsite for technical support.

‘Sennheiser was pleased to support this food extravaganza as Latin American Music has taken the world by storm, and its amazing riffs, jams, rhythm and soul speak volumes about the Latin culture – not to mention the extraordinary food,’ commented Marc Vincent, president of Greater China, Sennheiser. ‘We were very lucky to be a part of that for one night.’

‘The sound was great, I guess it has to be the best sound we ever tried before,’ said members of Kalibre Beat. ‘It’s great for us to play and work with such a professional company like Sennheiser and I really enjoyed the night.’

‘Elefante and Sennheiser has been growing up and growing together,’ said Elefante owner, chef Willy Moreno. ‘Sennheiser does all the sound in the restaurant. They are our sound partner and we are so happy to bring this Latin party together for everyone.’

Sennheiser also sponsored 13 lucky draw prize competitions, and amongst the headphones given away were its Momentum models.
