CHINA: Sennheiser was the official audio sponsor as well as the sponsor for the Green Note stage at this year's JZ Festival Shanghai, China's biggest jazz festival. Marking its tenth anniversary, the three-day event took place at the Expo Park in Shanghai, and featured more than 100 professional and folk philharmonic orchestras performing across 10 stages.
Audio equipment was provided for all 10 stages – Sennheiser Green Note, BMW Master Hall, The River, Blues Grass, Earth Lounge, Lover My Music, JZ Meeting, JZ School, JZ Life Square, and Drum Zone.
The stage for Sennheiser Green Note was located in the most spacious corner of the park, next to Huang Pu River. Fairly close to Green Note, the manufacturer specially constructed a tent for VIP reception and welcomed the guests with food and fine wine. Professionals from Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong were flown in to install the sound system, taking them four days to complete.
Besides Sennheiser Green Note, the manufacturer was also responsible for the production of nearly all of the other events in the festival, providing audio equipment and specialist advice throughout the event. These included the latest models of speakers from K-Array, such as the recently released KH8 and KS8.
Apart from the great line-up of artists performing over these two days, one of the highlights for audiences during the Sennheiser Green Note was reportedly the Sennheiser Experience Zone. The audience was given the opportunity to test out all of the manufacturer's headphones.
