Sennheiser supports Children of Madaifu

CHINA: Sennheiser has recently begun supporting the Children of Madaifu (in association with Marcel Roux) charity, which is an organisation that raises funds for orphaned children in China’s most remote and destitute areas to provide material, financial and educational support.
Through the Children of Madaifu, an annual fund-raising event is held by collecting apples from the orchards in Gansu and Shaanxi and sold to corporate and individual sponsors. Sennheiser sponsored the recent fundraiser in Shanghai with the purchase of 19 boxes, which it distributed to its various business associates and partners in China over a period of two weeks.
‘We spend a great deal of time in China providing sound support and installations for many businesses and entertainment facilities,’ said Marc Vincent, president of greater China, Sennheiser. ‘It was at that time that we were introduced to the Children of Madaifu and their caregivers, the children which live in dire conditions. This charity gives hope and basic support to the children from these areas. We had to do our part and support them.’
As part of building awareness for the cause, Sennheiser also circulated a flyer educating its own customers on the plight of orphans in China, inviting them to support this worthy cause as well.
