CHINA: In a co-sponsorship deal with soft drinks brand Capri Sun, Sennheiser recently offered children from Shanghai and Beijing the chance to win tickets to the Shanghai Forumula 1 race, which took place in April. The children in Shanghai participated in a go-kart race, while in Beijing they could enter online competitions.
The Shanghai go-karting event, at which entrants were able to meet the F1 driver Adrian Sutil, saw Sennheiser donate a range of prizes whilst also sponsoring the audio system. A total of 50 children participated, with the three fastest drivers winning tickets to the F1 championship. Those achieving positions four to 10 won Sennheiser CX300 earphones, while a prize-draw saw six CX95 earphones given away alongside five teddy bears.
In Beijing, entrants could submit emails to one of two consumer websites, with the winners picking up an all-expenses-paid trip to the F1 race or more earphones and teddy bears as runner’s-up prizes.
